Updated January 14th, 2015 – Our favorite deal from TurboTax is back again for 2015 and rivals the 10% gift card refund offer that’s available for H&R Block tax software this year as well. If you’re expecting a tax refund this year and you’re planning on using TurboTax to complete your 2014 tax return, then you can get up to an extra 10% on top of the refund coming to you. TurboTax and Amazon have teamed up to give you up to 110% of the refund coming to you if you elect to receive some or all of you refund in the form of an Amazon gift card. So, for example, if you are expecting to receive a $3,000 tax refund this year then you will get up to $3,300 if you decide to get the entire amount on an Amazon gift card.
How It Works
After you complete your tax return using one of the qualified TurboTax products but right before you click “send your returns” in the File section of TurboTax, you will be given the option of choosing all of part of your refund in an Amazon.com gift card. You can choose any increments of $100 to up to the amount of your refund or $10,000 (whichever is less). Then TurboTax will give you an extra 5% or 10% on your gift card depending on the version that you’re using. The remaining amount of your refund will be deposited to your bank account that was provided when you completed your tax return.
